Read all about it! Sbri hit the press last year which was a super exciting milestone for us. As a small business there’s nothing more exciting than flicking through a newspaper in the supermarket or turning on the television to find our products in the spotlight. There are lots of hats to wear and plates to spin when you’re a small team running a small business, so we were totally thrilled to have achieved coverage in magazines, newspapers, online and on TV in our first year of trying on a PR hat.

Every day is a small business celebration at Sbri but today, it's official. Saturday 4th December 2021 is Small Business Saturday in the UK, a day dedicated to shouting loudly and proudly about all the fabulous things about small indie businesses. For example, did you know if everyone bought just one (one!) Christmas gift from an independent business this year, we would reallocate a vital £2.7billion into the economy. That's a lot of £££. Plus, shopping small supports the dreams of lovely business owners and means that you find brilliant, unique gifts for your favourite people (and probably yourself too, you're only human).

We'd love for you to shop at Sbri this Small Business Saturday, obvs, but we'd also love to introduce you to some of our small business crushes too. Here's a round up of lovely UK indie brands the Sbri team have shopped with, lusted after and have at the top of their Christmas wish lists. They're all absolute dreamboats.

We don’t want to say in too loudly, but it’s definitely *that* time of year again…“that” being Christmas, obviously. We see Sbri leather accessories as the perfect little “to me, from me” gift for whenever you need to #treatyourself, but as well as providing personal pick-me-ups, we love to help you spread the joy of Sbri around and share it with the people you love too.

Our handcrafted leather accessories are designed to turn heads, with little pops of colour and eye-catching prints to add extra joy to the everyday. We don’t mean to toot our own horn too much, but our pieces are made to stand out from the crowd and we reckon they’re deserving of a compliment…or three.

At Sbri Studio, leather accessories are our thing (handmade personalised leather accessories in fun colours and prints to be precise). But the reason they’re our thing is because they have the power to add joy to the everyday, to make each day feel brighter, even in the smallest way. Whether it’s the uplifting personalised message from your best friend that you see every time you open your purse or the bright pink leather bag that elevates even the dreariest office attire. We’re all about those little extras that make life that bit better, and for us that extends beyond just our product range, it’s about doing things for the people around us too.

If you’re a long time customer or follower you might know that Sbri is not an only child – that is to say, we have a big sister company. Before Sbri there was (and still very much is!) Create Gift Love and we thought it was time you got reintroduced, or perhaps made acquaintances for the first time.

Something exciting has happened at Sbri…we’ve been selected as finalists(!!!) in the 2021 Etsy Design Awards, aka The Etsies. Cooler than the Oscars any day of the week – Nobel Prize, eat your heart out. To say we are thrilled would be the understatement to beat all understatements. Shopping at Sbri starts and ends in our studio in Ringwood on the UK’s south coast. From designing to dispatching, marketing to making, prepping to packaging, every single step of the process is completed in-house by our small team. We trial and test our own designs to make sure they’re spot on then make to order when you’re ready to buy, giving you a bespoke service that you won’t get anywhere else. That’s the joy of shopping with a small independent business like ours, it’s all done with a personal touch. Personalising is a big deal to us, after all. 

We’ve been here a while now so we thought it was about time we got to know each other a little better and introduce you to some of the smiley happy people behind your orders. At Sbri we put sustainability first. It’s always been a huge priority for us and it’s not something we’re willing to compromise on. We’re a leather accessories company that do things differently – from the vegetable tanned leather we use, to the way our products are made and packaged, and the energy used to power our studio.

All our leather is sustainably sourced in the UK and our personalised accessories are made to order in our studio to avoid overproduction and minimise our carbon footprint. But is this the case for the whole leather goods industry? Absolutely not.
