Meet the Sbri Team
Shopping at Sbri starts and ends in our studio in Ringwood on the UK’s south coast. From designing to dispatching, marketing to making, prepping to packaging, every single step of the process is completed in-house by our small team. We trial and test our own designs to make sure they’re spot on then make to order when you’re ready to buy, giving you a bespoke service that you won’t get anywhere else. That’s the joy of shopping with a small independent business like ours, it’s all done with a personal touch. Personalising is a big deal to us, after all.
We’ve been here a while now so we thought it was about time we got to know each other a little better and introduce you to some of the smiley happy people behind your orders. We’ve asked them all the important questions: who they are, what they do at Sbri, their favourite Sbri product and their favourite biscuit. (See, we said they were important).
So come on in, make yourself at home and say hello to the team behind Sbri.
EMILY
Hello, who are you?
I’m Emily and I’m Sbri’s founder. Once upon a time I was a registered Pharmacist but now I get to spend my days playing with lovely leather and overseeing Sbri’s creative direction, it’s a bit of a change of scenery to say the least!
What’s your favourite Sbri product?
It has to be the “Emily” Coin Purse, it’s the OG Sbri product and I love leopard print - always have, always will! It’s why the team insisted on naming our leopard collection after me. I couldn’t really pick anything else. My current faves are the new Origami Bags though, the hot pink “Betty” bag is wonderful.
The big question: what’s your favourite biscuit?
Being gluten free, finding a good biscuit is tricky but Livia’s Dunx are amazing - caramel almond swirl, yes please!
BECCA
Hello, who are you?
Hey! I’m Becca and I’m the leather production supervisor, aka The Bag Lady. I oversee the production of your orders and spend most days making, designing and preparing our gorgeous leather goods. It’s a pretty great job.
What’s your favourite Sbri product?
My fave is the Cross Body Bag. It’s probably our most complex product to make and I love dedicating time to all the tiny details and elements that give it that luxury feel. We’d wanted to get into bags for so long, so it was fab to finally design and launch the range last year.
The big question: what’s your favourite biscuit?
Shortbread cookies, specifically the ones from Tesco. You can’t beat them.
CARLA
Hello, who are you?
Hi, I’m Carla and I look after a lot of Sbri’s marketing. I design our weekly email newsletters, create content for our social channels and plan out our marketing campaigns. I also get involved with product design from time to time which I love. My favourite product to design was our Luna Coin Purse.
What’s your favourite Sbri product?
I have a gorgeous new puppy so I’m absolutely loving our new pet products. It’s a range we’ve wanted to design for a while so it’s come at the perfect time for me! We’re planning to expand the range more this year and I’m having lots of fun product testing with my pup at the moment.
The big question: what’s your favourite biscuit?
It has to be a chocolate finger.
ANGE
Hello, who are you?
I’m Angela and I supervise quality control and dispatch. It’s my job to check over every product to make sure they meet our top quality standards and match all the customer’s requests. I package all the orders and get them ready for the postie to collect at the end of each day.
What’s your favourite Sbri product?
Our small Origami Bag is my favourite at the moment. It’s such a good size and a really classic design.
The big question: what’s your favourite biscuit?
Dark chocolate digestive for me please.
AMELIA
Hello, who are you?
Hi, I’m Amelia and I’m a leather production assistant at Sbri. I help make and stamp up all your orders in the studio and work on lots of jobs for commercial clients as well…I’ve become quite a pro at stitching leather door handles, of all things(!)
What’s your favourite Sbri product?
I love our Envelope Purses, they’re so useful and I really enjoy stitching them up.
The big question: what’s your favourite biscuit?
Chocolate covered Hobnob, it’s the best of both worlds.
GEORGIA
Hello, who are you?
Hello, I’m Georgia and I’m in the Sbri marketing team. I work on all the written content for our website, PR and social media – if you’re reading something about Sbri, I’ve probably written it (including this blog post). I also take care of customer service and answer all your enquiries.
What’s your favourite Sbri product?
I have always loved our Coin Purses and I’ve used my Luna Purse for years now, even pre-Sbri…in fact, I think my purse was our original sample when we were testing the Luna design. At the moment I’m loving our Card Holder collection too. I’ve been working from home since last March so I don’t get to see many products IRL but the team recently sent me a card holder to try and I can confirm they’re as good as they look.
The big question: what’s your favourite biscuit?
I take biscuits very seriously. There are a lot of strong contenders but the answer is a custard cream.
