Sbri in the Press in 2022
We’re not even three weeks into the new year and yet 2022 already seems so long ago. For most of us January is a time for refreshing, goal setting (or committing to a new-year-same-me, if that’s more your thing) but it’s also a great opportunity to reflect, take stock, and recap on all there is to celebrate from the last twelve months. Some great things happened in the Sbri world in 2022 – our first artist collaboration, new product launches, and some pretty cool press features too.
Our small business first dipped a toe in the world of PR in 2021 (we wrote about it here) but that was just the beginning. 2022 saw Sbri products popping up in magazines, newspapers, blogs and websites all over the shop, and it’s always so exciting to spot a new feature. We love to see it. So, in the spirit of celebrating big and small victories, here’s a round up of some of our favourite press snippets and editor-approved Sbri products from 2022 in case you missed them the first time round…
Personalised Leather Card + Coin Purses
Our little leather coin purses are a Sbri staple, our hero product loved by our customers that has inspired so many more designs and developments. They’re the perfect small purse for carrying your everyday essentials and we now have almost 40 coin purse styles in the range so there’s really something for everyone. We wouldn’t be Sbri without our coin purses so it’s been awesome to see them in the press spotlight over the last few months.
In September Hampshire Life and Sussex Life magazines called our “Penny” purse a must-have for autumn (we happen to agree), our pastel trio were the centre of Mollie Magazine’s Brand Focus feature in November 2022, and in December the coin purses featured in 13 regional issues of Absolutely London, as part of their bumper Christmas gift guide pages. Personalised Leather Card Holders
The card holder collection is a real team favourite in the Sbri studio and in 2022 it was a press favourite too. We love all the playful colour combinations and practical details of these slim card holders and we are looking forward to adding more to the range this year.
Our “Tutti Frutti” Card Holder was featured in Woman & Home magazine in September 2022, prompting a very exciting lunchtime supermarket trip to the glossy magazine stand. The card holder was part of their Teen Dream Christmas gift guide, and the Woman & Home team said “even hard-to-please teens will love these”. “Tutti Frutti” was also spotted in independent magazine The Homeworker in November, and our “Wild Thing” was part of Baby Magazine’s Beautiful Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Gifts for Christmas for Mum edit.
Personalised Leather Pet Accessories Collection
Our pet range of leather dog walking accessories was a hit with the press in 2021 (remember when we were on This Morning?!) and they’ve been a firm favourite with the press this year too. Our 2022 features kicked off in May with a lovely write-up on our pet accessories in the Manchester Evening News, with a dedicated review by blogger and journalist Bethan Shufflebotham. Bethan said:
“Carrying poo bags is the number one rule of pet ownership, and I love this pouch so much that it’s always the first thing I check I have with me. I even find myself offering out poo bags to other dog walkers just so I can show it off.”
Our pet accessories also popped up in a number of Christmas gift guides in November and December 2022, including our leopard print dog collar in Style at Home, our pouches in the Daily Express, Absolutely London and Eliza.co.uk, and our personalised leather poop dog holder featured in Horse & Hound magazine for the second year running. They are the perfect personalised pet gift, after all.
Personalised Leather AirPod Cases
With more and more of us opting for the cable-free life with our wireless headphones, it’s not surprising that our personalised AirPod cases were a hit this Christmas, catching the eye of the Daily Express, The Homeworker, and Woman’s Own Magazine’s teen gift guide. They’re a great little piece for someone who’s always on the move, available in eight Sbri colour options, with complimentary personalised included. We added the AirPod 3rd Generation model in 2022 too.
